Do you want to enjoy some time with family or colleagues and discover a photographic exhibition in a fun way? Go through the doors of the Miners’ Union House in Lens where you can find the “En Creux” exhibition

Presented by the CRP/Hauts-de-France Regional Photography Center, this exhibition brings together the work of four artists who won a photographic commission on the Mining Basin. For a year, they surveyed the territory. Each of them has treated, through innovative forms, the history of places and that of men. Apolline Lamoril addresses fanism in football, in an approach at the crossroads of investigation and archive. She uses the RC Lens and the fervor it generates as constituent elements of myths echoing the specific working history of the region. Clement Brugger explores the ecosystem of slag heaps and the link between coal and photography. Specializing in laser engraving on wood, he combines his field investigation with his unique approach to this material. Hideyuki Ishibashi questions the landscape through the experience of the photographic process and color. It highlights the richness of the plants on the slag heaps by producing its own pigments from collected materials. It is the man at work thatIsabella Hin retained from its exploration in the Mining Basin. By focusing on clothing as an allegory of the minor, she explores blue and its variations as a social color.
